Still life, a classic in art education is surprisingly something that most of my students are quite excited about. It is the perfect environment to learn about the apparent colours in comparison with actual colour. Comparing shades of colours inside of one object and in comparison with surrounding objects. Its also great to learn to sketch realistically in depth. Using objects that reflect in each other gives an additional challenge to the task, but holds great effects in the final paintings!
